Scaling

The use of our high tech, advanced machines have made way in the field of teeth scaling and polishing which work well without harming the teeth in any manner.

Having clean teeth is a symbol of confidence. It has been seen time and again that people who are confident of how they smile and look are more confident than others holistically. There used to be times when discolored or difficult to clean teeth were left at its state. The deposition of a tartar layer or plaque is a common problem due to which teeth appear discolored and become a matter of shaming for many. No matter how well one tries to brush them off they stick around. Your teeth are continuously bathed in saliva which is rich in amylase and calcium, which naturally protects your teeth but when there is a deposition of plaque (thin layer over teeth with over thousands types of bacteriain a protein matrix) those natural methods are just not enough. Tartar is the tough or calcified form of plaque and is a very common deposition which affects oral health. If one lets the growth of tartar be unobstructed, the bacteria might soon reach out to the gums and cause infections. Scaling and Polishing of teeth is the way out of this problem. This method cleans the film deposited on the teeth and leaves them clean and clear.

Filling

A dental curing light is a piece of dental equipment that is used for polymerization of light cure resin based composites. It can be used on several different dental materials that are curable by light. The light used falls under the visible blue light spectrum. This light is delivered over a range of wavelengths and varies for each type of device.

Teeth Whitening

Professional bleaching is the most usual method of tooth whitening. Our dental team will be able to tell you if you are suitable for the treatment, and will supervise it if you are. As dentists, our main goal is to preserve your natural teeth and keep them healthy for as long as possible.

Oral and Maxillo Facial Surgery

Tooth Extraction

If a tooth has been broken or damaged by decay, your dentist will try to fix it with a filling, crown or other treatment. Sometimes, though, there’s too much damage for the tooth to be repaired. In this case, the tooth needs to be extracted. A very loose tooth also will require extraction if it can’t be saved, even with bone replacement surgery (bone graft).

Trauma Cranial Facial Surgery

Facial fractures and concomitant cranial injuries carry the significant potential for mortality and neurological morbidity mainly in young adults.Adult males are the most common victims in craniofacial trauma, and road traffic accidents were responsible for the majority. Most of the patients sustained mild head injuries and were managed conservatively. Open reduction and internal fixation with miniplates was used for displaced facial bone fractures

Orthognaticsurgery

Orthognathic surgery is a well established and widely used treatment option for insufficient growth of the maxilla in patients with an orofacial cleft.Orthognathic surgery is performed by an oral and maxillofacial surgeon in collaboration with an orthodontist. It often includes braces before and after surgery, and retainers after the final removal of braces. Orthognathic surgery is often needed after reconstruction of cleft palate or other major craniofacial anomalies. Careful coordination between the surgeon and orthodontist is essential to ensure that the teeth will fit correctly after the surgery.

Dental Implants

Dental implant surgery is a procedure that replaces tooth roots with metal, screwlike posts and replaces damaged or missing teeth with artificial teeth that look and function much like real ones. Dental implant surgery can offer a welcome alternative to dentures or bridgework that doesn’t fit well.

Orthodontics

Steel Braces

Stainless steel fixed appliances (braces) are comprised of small stainless steel squares (“brackets”) that are bonded with composite resin (dental adhesive) directly to the enamel surfaces of the teeth. A protective layer of dental “sealant” is carefully applied to ensure safe placement and removal of the appliances, thereby preserving the enamel. Bands (stainless steel rings with braces welded to the steel) are often used on the posterior teeth to ensure appliance retention. The braces alone do not move teeth; they are simply stable guidance mechanisms that allow wires and other accouterments to affect the actual tooth movement (wires, chains, elastics, coil springs, and other devices).

Ceramic Braces

Crooked, crowded, or misaligned teeth can make you feel uncomfortable about your smile. They can also interfere with the way your teeth work. Orthodontic treatment, like braces, can help you get the attractive, functional smile you’ve always wanted. Today’s braces are smaller and less noticeable than the braces of the past. One of the less noticeable types of braces are ceramic braces.

Lingual Orthodontics

Lingual orthodontic treatment is an alternative to traditional treatment, designed to satisfy patients who wish to have their teeth aligned but do not want labial brackets

Clear pathway Aligners

Clear Aligners are substitute to traditional braces and are made to help guide teeth into their real position. Like braces, clear aligners also use a tool that controls tooth movement, but without those ugly metal braces. The aligners are made of a medical grade plastic material and are designed to fit each individual’s mouth. If a number of aligners are made, each aligner moves the teeth a little till the final desired positions is achieved.

Endodontics

Root Canal Treatment

A root canal is a treatment used to repair and save a tooth that is badly decayed or becomes infected. During a root canal procedure, the nerve and pulp are removed and the inside of the tooth is cleaned and sealed. Without treatment, the tissue surrounding the tooth will become infected and abscesses may form.

Post & Core

A post and core is a prosthetic device that is utilized when there is inadequate tooth structure remaining to support a traditional restoration or an artificial crown.

Veeners (in layers and on layers)

Dental veneers (sometimes called porcelain veneers or dental porcelain laminates) are wafer-thin, custom-made shells of tooth-colored materials designed to cover the front surface of teeth to improve your appearance. These shells are bonded to the front of the teeth changing their color, shape, size, or length.

Periodontics

Flap Surgery

Flap surgery is today’s leading method for treating and repairing periodontal pockets. They are areas below the gum line where gum tissue has detached from the teeth, resulting in an uncleansable space where harmful bacteria can proliferate. These bacteria cause inflammation of the tissues, resulting in sensitivity, bleeding, and pain.

Splinting & Gingivectomy

Gingivectomy is the excision of gingival tissue, usually to remove the diseased wall of a periodontal pocket (true pocket or pseudopocket). Gingivoplasty is the recontouring of the gingiva to its proper anatomical form without the reduction of periodontal pocket depth. This is typically a combined procedure, which can be used in isolation or together with other surgical procedures such as flap surgery.

Prosthodontics

Crown

A crown is used to entirely cover or “cap” a damaged tooth. Besides strengthening a damaged tooth, a crown can be used to improve its appearance, shape or alignment. A crown can also be placed on top of an implant to provide a tooth-like shape and structure for function. Porcelain or ceramic crowns can be matched to the color of your natural teeth. Other materials include gold and metal alloys, acrylic and ceramic. These alloys are generally stronger than porcelain and may be recommended for back teeth. Porcelain bonded to a metal shell is often used because it is both strong and attractive.

Bridges

Direct fillings are placed by our dentist using a bright blue light that hardens the soft material. FoA bridge may be recommended if you’re missing one or more teeth. Gaps left by missing teeth eventually cause the remaining teeth to rotate or shift into the empty spaces, resulting in a bad bite. The imbalance caused by missing teeth can also lead to gum disease and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders. Bridges are commonly used to replace one or more missing teeth. They span the space where the teeth are missing. Bridges are cemented to the natural teeth or implants surrounding the empty space. These teeth, called abutments, serve as anchors for the bridge. A replacement tooth, called a pontic, is attached to the crowns that cover the abutments. As with crowns, you have a choice of materials for bridges. Your dentist can help you decide which to use, based on the location of the missing tooth (or teeth), its function, aesthetic considerations and cost. Porcelain or ceramic bridges can be matched to the color of your natural teeth.

Flexible Dentures

Flexible dentures help prevent many of the problems that regular dentures cause. Dentures that have a rigid resin or metal base can take some getting used to. As well as growing accustomed to the feel of the dentures, the patient has to learn how to hold them in place with the cheeks and tongue. New dentures often cause soreness and irritation in the early days, and patients must learn how to clean them carefully to avoid breakages.

Paediatric Dentistry

Painless Dentistry

The first step in managing or eliminating the discomfort involved with going to the dentist, is understanding its source. In many cases, the myths about dental pain often outweigh the realities and the anxiety caused by these myths further intensifies the pain. The further decay spreads, the more radical the treatment required. This causes trauma to the tooth and gums that results in discomfort.

Pulptectomy

When the decay in a baby tooth is extensive and has affected the nerve of the tooth and caused the tooth to die (abcess), a pulpectomy treatment is needed. In order to save the tooth, the pulp (the living tissue inside the tooth), nerves, bacteria, and any decay are completely removed and the resulting space is filled with special, medicated, dental materials, which restore the tooth to its full function.

Pulpotomy

Pulpotomy is the term for removal of the coronal pulp with the intent of maintaining the vitality of the remaining radicular pulp tissue. Pulpotomy techniques using formocresol on primary teeth have been a standard in pediatric dentistry for decades. The indication was primarily the presence of a carious exposure and desire to retain the primary tooth until exfoliation.

Sedation Dentistry

Sedation dentistry uses medication to help patients relax during dental procedures. It’s sometimes referred to as ” sleep dentistry”, although that’s not entirely accurate. Patients are usually awake with the exception of those who are under general anaesthetic.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Jewellery - Tooth Jewells

Dental jewelry adds extra sparkle into more and more smiles. Jewels are applied to the labial surfaces of upper anterior teeth. The trend is catching up with youngsters. If somebody thinks he or she was better off without tooth jewellery, it can be easily removed without any side effects on the dental tooth structure as the procedure is non-invasive.
